Sassanian Persian & Roman Four Horned Saddle
This is an exact replica of a Sassanian Persian and Roman Four Horned Saddle. These saddles pre-dated the use of stirrups. The horns were used for leverage on the thighs in place of the stirrups. This saddle is made on a Ash wood core, rawhide strappings, felt wrapped and hand stitched leather covering. This was one of my most difficult projects.
